I have a JD4100 with loader. I cannot complain about it! It is easy to use, a onestick control, and it comes off easy. I only took it off once since I got it in janurary because it is just not in my way yet. I have moved topsoil, snow and pushed over brushand trees 3" in diameter. No problems. It even a a quick attach on the bucket,in case you want to switch buckets or a fork attachment.I cannot speak for a Kubota! ....

I have a JD4200 w/ 420 loader. One of the reasons I went with JD was the ease of removing the loader, which I do every weekend when its time to finish mow. I didn't want the extra weight to rut the yard and it's worked like a charm. Takes less than five minutes to take off and put on. Good luck! ....

I haven't looked at a Ford/Boomer or MF, but JD in my opinion has a better loader. The Kubota's loader seemed like an after thought, more brackets/metal, but Lesslifting capacity (Only Minorly). The JD seemed as if the tractor was built around the loader. The hydraulic controls, or should I say control for the JD is also better.Kubota does offer a backhoe in the 20hp class, JD does not.It all depends upon your needs, all units seem to be very well built. ....

I have a 4600 hydro with a 460 loader and and a 73 inches heavy duty bucket. It works great I've been using it for 400 hours so far. Every weekend I mow with a 9 foot befco and I take off the loader when I mow it comes off in 2 1/2 minutes it fits rite to the tractor and doesn't make any noises. I love how much it lifts it will lift a ton with the back wheels loaded and a box on the back. and it works very smooth compared to my old 855. i love the new 4600 tractor. ....
